A long ride in the country is always a fine way to get acquainted, and Meps and Melody found a definite magnetic attraction between them.

Their closeness was intriguing, Melody was built with powered wheels so she is teaching Meps the delicate art of motor-skating on this fine summer day.

… and they instilled in the locals the duty to maintain these teachings and keep the temple safe and tidy. Beware, intruders, the locals are masters of camoflage and know all who trespass into their sacred domain must pay the ultimate price…

My oh my, how did they ever catch Blue Man with his guard down? They’re hauling him to their village, to one of their insidious hideous heathen barbaric ceremonies, punishment for trespassing their sacred temple…

Even worse than we imagined, I don’t know how Blue Man is going to escape this one, especially now the TORTURE has started, how long before Blue Man succumbs, how much can he take? Because we all know what follows torture in these situations: Human Sacrifice!!! You may want to avert your eyes…

I can’t bear to look, what sort of cruel beings were the Laughing Gods, to condone and even encourage such low behavior,  proof yet again that if you hit Blue Man just right, his hat rises straight up in the air…

Well, that worked out all right, just the old pie-in-the-face gag, and now Blue Man is an honorary member of the tribe,  presented with his very own artifact. Did you have doubts?  Were you scared? Heh heh… Hurray for Blue Man, man of many talents, once again Getting The Job Done!

…but they’re very tricky, and clues to their plot have been harder to find than a black candle at midnight.

Later, Blue Man’s robotic partner Officer Meps is heading home,

… and just happens to catch sight of the notorious terrorist explosives expert Pique coming out of a building nearby; this could be the hideout they’ve been looking for!

Meps hurries back to headquarters to confirm his evidence,

and with the address he provides, he and Detective Nit are able to plan a desperate ambush, risky, but there’s no time to lose…

Their plan works, and cut off by Detective Nit, the terrorists try to escape,

but Officer Meps is right on target firing a charged molecular mesh from his mini-saucer, and the bad guys are wrapped up tight!

Blue Man has acquired a snappy new cruiser to replace his old wrecked one, and guess who gets to drive it first?! What a team!

Hope you enjoyed this condensed version of the Blue Man story, but it’s time to say goodbye to Blue Man Nit and Green Girl Nonnie and all their friends. But you never can tell when we’ll be invited back to their lovely home, or follow along on another great adventure!

Real Estate on this world usually floats in a stationary position, unless you want to move it. And the gravity is low so if you fall off, you just activate your Geo-sat beam and get pulled back up. Otherwise you just get wet.

One of Nit and Nonnie’s hobbies is music, they could play professionally all the time but would rather just do a concert once in a while, besides Blue Man already has a career, in law enforcement, but that’s for later.

Here we see our couple trying out a new song, not long before they present a concert this very evening.

When Nit and Nonnie put on a show, it’s usually outside, on top of their custom built miniature Millenium Falcon replica, a stage that lifts them up in the air while they play, and they always present a huge laser-holographic air-image show above and around the stage.

And once again Blue Man’s fondness for 60’s gear is evident in his choice of the John Lennon model Rickenbacker guitar, in this image from the highlight of their show, Concert in Blue.

Well, stay tuned dear viewers, for the next installment of this continuing story, when we visit Blue Man at work, where he’s known as Detective Blue, and meet his robotic partner Officer Meps, in an adventure I like to call, “Black Candle At Midnight”! Mwaa-ah ah! Sleep well kiddies!

This is probably the most viewed picture of Blue Man, at the crossroads, deciding which direction to take. He chose what I would have, and headed for the mountains. It’s probably not a coincidence that his vehicle is blue as well.

Camping out is always awkward the first time you try it, for some it’s disasterous. It’s the little things we all take for granted that usually are forgotten, left behind, and out in nature one must always be prepared for the unexpected.Blue Man, however is a very logical thinker, and really the only trouble he had was a weenie in the fire,  a common occurrence even among seasoned more experienced campers. Probably why weenies come in packages of 8…

This trip Blue Man traveled slower, and interacted much more with the locals, who were accustomed to seeing tourists from other worlds, and at one point Blue Man assisted a stranded traveler in getting her vehicle running again. It was she who uttered those now immortal words, “We Call These Fries” and introduced Blue Man to the wonder of french fries, or chips, and became an unknowing ambassador to his people.

Blue Man had always wanted to try hang gliding, and it just so happened on this world a very happily cooperative creature was always willing to accommodate. “Dino-Soar”, (taken from the movie Jurassic Park) is probably the best description of them.

After quite a pleasant series of experiences and adventures, Blue Man can tell it’s time to return, as he is missing his very special lady back home.

So stay tuned, dear readers, for the next exciting episode where we follow Blue Man back to his home planet, in “Blue Bungalow”, chapter 3 of the saga “Why So Blue”.

Blue Man first appeared on a  planet       similar to ours, on, of all things, his vacation.  On that occasion he arrived in  his own vehicle, a very cool shuttle with retractable bubble top and swivel power modules, shown here in vertical position as “wheels”. Blue Man loves travel and is kind of shy, so he pretty much didn’t interact much with the locals, who were familiar with ET’s. Mostly he just wanted to DRIVE! And, oh yes, when the power modules are swiveled to horizontal position, he FLIES, as you can see in this image:

So, Blue Man as we know him so far, is a tourist, with a joy of new experiences. No one can really say how old he is or where he’s from, but soon, we will find out much more about him, and where he’s from.

For now, let’s put this chapter to sleep with a teaser, a current image, nearly 7 years after that interesting first vacation when we met the enigmatic shy and shiny Blue Man:
