Nautilus ~ Abstract
Again I wanted to work with a circle and did my best to add little waves within the rings of the circles. While I like the detail I did with this one, I was unable to get the color the way I want. Here are two variations and I would really like to hear from you all, which one you like best.
I used AP2.09 using my own Mathematical Algorithms.

#1 definitely but don’t ask me why LOL

Thanks Beth! That is the one I like too.
Think it is easier to see the detail in that color.

#1, for the extra detail. I’ve found that the escher variation produces a classic nautilus spiral!

I also like #1, the image is softer and it really shows the fine detail. Wonderful image!

Thank you Ian and Nan!
Ian, I am still learning MA with AP. I do not know the names of what variations one can make with AP. All I know is certain numbers should, in theory, make certain shapes. Probably be easier if I read the manual!

Hi! This may not apply here, but in my 3D renderings, sometimes I can get the light, color or texture fine in one area, but not in another, and adjusting that messes up the first, so lately I will render an image several ways and then stack them up in separate layers in Photoshop, then use a very large soft eraser to take away the parts I don’t want, like this one: http://www.redbubble.com/people/sbaker5/art/3312001-4-moon-tower-collaboration-with-jenlands-daily-tau-moon 3 separate images blended so the best of each was combined.

Actually that works well in what I do Syd when making my skies. Great advice.

I will give that a try Syd, Thanks!
