Hereeeeeeeeee I go
Sky Diving or Skateboarding? 2nd option.. A few times & balance totally counts!
Country Western Dancing or Bungie Jumping? 1st option.. Out of practice.
Rock climbing or a game of Chess? 2nd option.. A classic game!
Arm wrestling or Skiing? 1st option.. Best of all, you don't need equipment.
Jump Rope or Dirt Bike Riding?1st option.. Single rope.
Surfing or Paddleball? 1st & 2nd option.. Not typical surfing but body surfing
Soccer or Bicycling? 2nd option.. But its been years back

Those are crazy things!!
Do something safe..
like riding a horse. OK,… well.. I went 35+ years without a major accident.
Also drive my Mini horse Maggie…though the cart needs a tune up.
Then there is Gardening, Handspinnging yarn, painting, playing with ones cats…….
Chess is fun, cribbage and so on.
Can't see for the life of me what would make jumping off a bridge with a cord around your legs fun.
Much more fun going to the Japanese Garden, once a year sale and getting another tree! Can buy ones not normally seen on the open market.

Its the adrenalin rush that makes me want to do it
Like when I rode 80mph left off a roundabout doing a wheelie on my motorbike…pure, addictive adrenalin rush!
April 20th, 2008 at 19:01
Am Allergic to adrenalin….. <LOL>
Hope you were wearing a helmet Beth!
My Hubby used to off road but now he is happy doing day rides with buddies on his FZ6 Yamaha Motorcycle.
Because of some physical issues ,I can't deal with normal motorcycles but I really want one of these..and they are Automatic and will keep the bike Up right..
They look like something out of "Mad Max". Have you seen this one……..

Though riding a horse at full gallop (haven't been able to do that since before Dec 06) is a bit of a rush… lots of fun. Just walk, Tolt or canter now. Or Racing around driving Maggie in her cart… they are fast wee creatures!
But I could never sky dive,,or jump off a bridge…even hate roller coasters.

YUK what a sod to control on corners (the bike) Why not get a trike? I rode a Yamaha trike for a year and it was GREAT fun! I was in NABD (not because of myself) which is National Association for Bikers With Disabilities. We met up with disabled riders from all over England and had a great laugh. Billy Connolly came to one of our meetings on his trike
Very fun time!

I have seen the trikes they have around here. No ..thanks!
One of the reasons I do not like Trikes.. is the way the seating is. With the MP3… the seating is as I need it and it will not hurt my back and hips. The Trike would.
Hubby rides out with lots of folks but not one of the ones we know of..rides with the damage I have…they couldn't. They have other disablilties but not my issues.
Almost the same reason why I can't ride in a treed saddle any more. Mostly ride bareback….when I do get to ride my Icelandic.

Three wheels are more dangerous than two or four IMO. They are unstable in a high speed turn and tend to flip, so if you're moving at a good clip down the road and suddenly have to avoid something, you might end up with that trike on top of you.
Off road vehicles were originally trikes, but they got rid of them and they're all 4 wheels now.

Trikes are excellent fun and far more stable than you think. I rode with trikes for over a year with disabled people and I would do it again in a flash…
Shari, the whole point of most of the trikes I rode out with are that they come in all different shapes and sizes with some of our members riding sitting in a wheelchair! All the bikes were specially adapted for a variety of disabilities and not just thrown together for anyone.

Humm… might have to look into it more. I know they weren't Automatic back when….do they have some that are now?
The MP3,, is computer controlled so it will not take a spill. Also like that it is Automatic and the computer keeps it upright.. I do not even have to put a foot on the ground at a stop.
Has had great reviews with the Motorcycle folks…
It will be awhile yet before I can seriously afford to really go looking but is nice to know all the options. Am never sure what I will be comfortable on.
Yes.. EA… the the three wheel quads are dangerous..specially the way people can be. So can the 4 wheel ones in certain hands. But they are not street legal…at least not here.
One reason I ended up with the Van I have. I still can't handle riding in hubbies wee Toyota Echo.. hurts my body too much… Sold my Toyota matrix to help pay for the Van.. because I could not even sit in that one.
So if I want to go somewhere.. it has to be in my Van. Can't even car pool to horse shows anymore…unless they want to use my Van.
One reason… I was looking at the MP3… give me a little more freedom in the future…maybe go on rides with Hubby and the other bikers he hangs out with.
Of course.. I also have the all terrian Icelandic horse……..just too far away from any where to ride her there. <VBG>

I was a carer for a guy in a wheelchair and he couldnt do many things. One of the things was change foot gear, and put a foot down at lights, so he got a Yamaha trike adapted. He also couldnt stand, so needed something he could drag himself onto and this was perfect with bars in the right places.
A British firm (two guys and a garage) came up with a gear changer on the handlebars and they now sell them internationally (Many disability bikes come with them fitted now) and also with a trike you dont have to ever put a foot down. You can have high back seat, bucket seat, motorbike seat…..
For a glance through some of the bikes etc, take a look at the NABD site in England… Gives a good idea of the many things the clubs help with and choices that can be made if you want to keep up with the big guys

His whole adapted bike was £3000 and thats at English prices and we are always way more expensive than in USA
