Walter Paul Bebirian is a wonderful artist and photographer, who I was lucky enough to interview on 1stAngel several months ago.
I was searching through his galleries (he is a prolific artist and has over 6000 galleries to peruse) and I came across this gorgeous image of flowers.

Here is an absolutely fantastic artist that I found hiding away on RedBubble, Brian Towers.

This is in his own words

At almost 75, I guess I can’t quite recall my fifth birthday but that is when I first ‘discovered’ art, when I probably helped dad decorate my bedroom. Come to think of it I think I started before he was ready, by using the crayons I got as a present. Nobody in our large family was interested in art so I guess I was just trying to make my mark on the world as it was hard to be heard with all those siblings around.

I’m sure my ‘need’ to draw and paint was in the genes, but another reason perhaps was, as kids living with the restrictions of war, we didn’t have any toys, books, TV or any other ‘bought’ entertainment: My Christmas present was a yard full of snow. Self-found pastimes and drawing sessions with friends was as exciting as it got. That Hitler had a lot to answer for. Oh, and another thing was I always found art teachers kind, encouraging and inspiring.

In my time I’ve done wood carving, a bit of clay-modelling and photography, but it is painting and drawing which has been my enduring hobby. That sounds a bit restrictive, but under that heading is a wide range of subjects and just about all mediums.

My main interests are landscapes, space art, people portraits, animals, figurative work, cartooning and personal caricatures. Those last two have been of great benefit when teaching as I used a lot of comic drawings as a tool and found kids responded to them with enthusiasm – as did many adults.

The personal caricatures keep me quite busy with commissions for people looking for surprise presents.

Space art is dear to me as it allows the imagination to have its head in creating my own worlds and life-forms; one can’t get much more powerful than that. While they can get me some odd looks, my space pictures have been my best sellers.

I’m particularly interested in making two dimensional paper/canvas have a 3D effect; a reality which makes you feel you could walk into the picture.

Above all, painting has, and still does, give me some excitement when I get inspired and, when things go right, nothing else quite does it for me.

Joining RedBubble has been a lucky move for no better reason that I’ve come across some members with amazing talent and had the privilege of making friends with them.

Did you know that the average age of a homeless American is only 9 years old? Did you know that over 31,000,000 Americans go hungry each night? What this means is that more and more American families are out there in shelters or on the streets. Johnna lived on the streets with her mother and her boyfriend. They witnessed a murder, and were lucky not to be murdered as the killers walked past them.

Unfortunately, they are not the only ones.

Art4TheHomeless is Johnna’s dream gallery. Art4TheHomeless sells her art and the proceeds of her Zazzle store go to help shelters everywhere. Just imagine what $5.00 could do for a hungry child. Imagine the smile on that child’s face when she knows that she can eat tonight.

The Zazzle Gallery has original artwork by Johnna on stickers, shirts, shoes, and much more.

Art4TheHomeless Blog and Webzines promote homeless awareness in the US and now around the world. The blog is one of those revenue blogs, meaning that ART4TH gets paid to blog, and that money is going to go to shelters in the US. The webzine features shelters in America, artists US and International, musicians, US and International and has free advertising for anyone especially for other Zazzle store owners. There has recently been added a poetry/writing page for anyone who wants to have their writing featured.

To help Art4TheHomeless, you can do the following:

Donate or volunteer your time to a local shelter (shelter in YOUR community),

Visit the ART4TH blog and comment regularly,

Email your friends the links to ART4TH and spread the word.

Purchase an item from Johnna’s Zazzle store.

Johnna says, “America is known for helping other countries in need and neglecting their own people. It’s time for the American People to realize their mistake. You must help yourself before you help others, if you don’t how do you expect to help others when you can’t even help yourself? Here are the links?”.
