Featured Member Now on Sidebar

For  a while now,  I have been using a random script on the network that would show a random image of a member, linking to their work, on the sidebar.

I was not really happy with this as it changed everytime you changed the page.  Now this is cool, but to me, well, I wanted something that really showed off a member for a week, not just a page turn.

I have therefore today started a new widget on our sidebar and not only of the network, but also appearing on the main magazine page too.  FEATURED SITE MEMBER.

Each week I will choose a member that has helped out on the site, or who has written a great blog post, is keeping an interesting group and so on.  They will have their image, bio, and a sample of their work placed on both sidebars for the week.

This first weeks sidebar has been chosen and is now on view.  Syd Baker has always been one of the first to welcome new members by making friends with them, he is always on hand to bump ideas off and has been involved in everyones blogs by writing comments.
