How I buy Art…rare times I do. Only if the Artist does something I can't or is better than I am. One of my prizes, is a Signed "Cat in the Garden shed" lithograph by Charles Wysocki before he passed away. My other favorites are the ones my Grammy painted. Have couple of originals and a couple of nice copies.
No idea, I wouldn't have thought so to be honest… It is now a massive horrible town full of small box house estates. Most of the old saddlers have closed down now and we have few left.

Thats really sad. Used to be ..not bad at all. Guess times change and places get more crowed.
My recent art purchase, "Captain Jonah's Floats". I like the art, the artist (I am casually acquainted with him), the subject matter (a sea captain artist with his paints, brushes, and colorful expressions), the colors, and the elements of the oceanside, which I love. I'll find a good spot to hang it when I move to Florida.
I picked the question mark thingy because nothing else really applied. I buy art based on if I like the piece and if I can afford it as a general rule, yet it is known that I do have a special passion for the works of Dali. Could I afford a Dali original? Absolutely not, but I do have a few prints. As far as other art I have purchased, the artists vary and the selections were made based on what I liked about the individual pieces themselves.

I'm hoping to get to the Dali Museum next time I'm in Florida.
