1stAngel: When did you first become interested in art, in general?
Paula: All my life
1stAngel: When did you first become interested in photography, specifically?
Paula: About 20 years ago,I was training Saddlebred horses and started taking shots to advertise my show horses. Then all my friends had me take photos of their horses.
1stAngel: In what other forms of art do you also work, if any?
Paula: I enjoy using my photos to create work with Photoshop.

1stAngel: On which style(s) of photography do you specialize?
Paula: Nature and the outdoors are my passion.Also news wothy shots. I am a frelance photographer for a local newspapers.
1stAngel: Has your style changed from when you first began? If so, why?
Paula: I take many more Macro shots now, I enjoy shooting flowers at close range.

1stAngel: What kind of equipment do you use?
Paula: Digital Cameras, Konica Minolta Z3 and Z4
1stAngel: What made you choose that equipment?
Paula: Easy camera to use and light to carry, I keep one of my cameras with me at all times.
1stAngel: How do you choose what you’re going to photograph?
Paula: If something catches my eye, I take some shots of it. My eyes are scoping all the time.
1stAngel: What kind of editing do you perform on your photographs, if any?
Paula: Photoshop effects of all kinds.

1stAngel: How much time (on average) does it take to complete a work?
Paula: A simple photo only takes a short time to upload to my computer, but editing can take hours depending on the effects I use.
1stAngel: How do you know when a piece is finished? Is it easy to walk away?
Paula: I will use one photo and try many different effects. I will use only the ones that endup pleasing me. It is never easy to walk away, I could play with my photos for hours on end!
1stAngel: What do you do to overcome a “block”?
Paula: I shut my computer down, take a ride up the lovely New Hampshire Seacoast where I live and that does the trick!

1stAngel: How well do you take criticism and how do you make use of it?
Paula: It depends on the criticism, if I can learn form it, I welcome it!
1stAngel: Who is your favorite artist?
Paula: Me of course!
1stAngel: Which one of your photographs is your favorite?
Paula: Cats Rule, Dogs Drool. It has become my signature photo. I have sold many copies, the 1st one was sold to the owner of the Exeter Inn by the Bnadstand Inn where it was taken and is now hanging in the Inn. It has also been featured in the newspaper and a donated copy brought in #225.00 for the NHSPCA at their 2007 fall auction.

1stAngel: Have you exhibited any of your work in galleries?
Paula: Yes, I have work hanging in the Exeter Town Hall.
1stAngel: Will your work be included at any upcoming contests or galleries? If so, where and when?
Paula: On April 17th I will be joining the “Let it BLOOM!” Spring Art Show at the Exeter Town Hall Gallery, Exeter, NH
1stAngel: What are your plans for the future?
Paula: Taking as many shots as possible! Selling my work at galleries, craft fairs.

1stAngel: What advice do you have for budding photographers?
Paula: Get out and take as many shots as you can, also post you work on free photography sites, I have learned a great deal through the advice and information on these sites. Learn, Learn, Learn! Don’t forget to try something new!

Very nice effects you have here Paula. Raindrops, Single Stain Glass & Waterfall are really nice images.
