Pick of the Day – Carolyn Saine
Two reason’s I have selected this image as “Pick of the Day” 1). I love Coleus also known as “Joseph’s Coat” because of the variety of colors they come in.
2). Carolyn is a very talented artist and it is evident through out her gallery on Fine Art America. You will find other favorites as you browse her gallery, I have a few, feel free to comment. Thank you Carolyn!
Vivid colors and imaginative subjects define the art of NC artist Carolyn Saine. Her paintings invite the viewer to see for themselves – to search out their ownspecial meaning. Without benefit of a formal art education, the artist has relied on study, workshops and the willingness of other artists to share their techniques. During the 80’s Saine taught oils and co-owned a gallery in Kannapolis. Eventually she and her family moved to the Lake Norman area whereshe opened a gallery in Cornelius. It was during this time she paintedand published one of Lake Norman’s first posters. Her works have been accepted into many juried shows in NC andmany of her works have won awards. Her paintings can be found in private
collections throughout the United States.
