Pick of the Day – Kathy Daxon
What is art? It is expressive, stimulating, thought provoking and extremely subjective. I avoid at all cost being a critic of my fellow artists’ work. It is their creation and concept, whatever input I offer or lend to the creative process then becomes a joint collaboration.
I often wondered what the response was to the first cubism piece displayed; or how long it is going to take the purist to come to terms with digital art.
One may argue, art is not photography or photography is not art, either way, it is visual, expressive,
stimulating and thought provoking.
The pick of the day’s artist has not said much about her art, but her art has said a lot about her. She allows the viewer of her art to see through her eyes as she roves with the camera and captures what another overlook. Through her lenses she captures the kaleidoscopic vibrancy of nature, and showcases her organic /synthetic surroundings.
In Hong Kong I find my serenity through nature and wildlife.
Most every day brings a welcome glimpse of beauty or a new wild visitor into my life.
Nature is truly an artist’s canvas.I am originally from Seattle, but now I am living in Hong Kong. Kathy Daxon
