    Queen Announce New Album Release

    By User Image1stAngel | March 20, 2008

Queen have announced they will release their first studio album for 13 years in September, called The Cosmos Rocks. The album will feature Paul Rodgers, who replaced the late Freddie Mercury as front man in the band.

Queen’s last album was Made in Heaven, which was released in 1995 and featured material written by Mercury.

The band have also announced a Queen and Paul Rodgers 14-nation European tour starting in September, including six dates in the UK in October.

These will be in Nottingham, Glasgow, London, Cardiff, Birmingham and Liverpool.

They will also play Russia, Poland, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Hungary, Serbia, the Czech Republic and Austria.

Guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor and Rodgers had already recorded the album, said a spokesman for the band.

Bassist John Deacon, who retired from the music business in the late 1990s, will not take part in the tour.
