Sale Canal Calendar from 1stAngel – An advert

Sale Canal is part of the Manchester Canal, built to aid travel from
the factories in the Victorian age of Barge transportation. It helped
Manchester become the leading manufacturing centre of its day, and
Manchester still, to this day, retains some of the power it gained them.
Nowadays,
instead of seeing working barges travel the length of the canals drawn
by horses, we are more likely to see narrowboats with pretty curtains
and flowerboxes, carrying holiday makers to the next village eatery.
Many people also live on these boats, as they did back then, and you
can see them moored on the opposite bank.
Waterfowl and animals abound in this beautiful area, and the waters are full of large carp and other fish.
