So What Kind Of Art Do You Like?

Art that I really like..

Art speaks its own language and there are many of those. I like abstracts, surreal, cartoon illustrations and a few others. When its art that truly speaks to you, one could look at it for hours upon hours.

OK, your turn wink.gif

I love realist art (is that the term?) Stuff that looks like a photo but is really a painting (usually oils)

I think most TYPES of art can grab us now and again if it is well done. I never liked abstract, but revad's (Dave) I love his because it reminds me of something I used to do, but he does it better LOL

Some stuff I detest, and that isnt the type that I am not liking, it is the artwork itself by that person

er do you see what i mean?

1stAngel.. Ah..hum.. what I hear you saying is "you kinda dislike abstracts" .. (walking over to hide my large collect of abstracts before she sees them.. whew! biggrin.gif ..

Its all kinda like the garden world when it comes to art preferences, some folks are all about daisies, geraniums and others like pothos, hensNchicks, cactus, etc (millions here so I'll pause wink.gif )

Realism, the more real the better. biggrin.gif I would love to be good as the old Dutch masters. Their oil paintings look as life like as a photograph!!

Though I do like a couple of Monets paintings. The more modern artists.. Charles Wysocki and Suellen Ross to just name a couple.
