Singer Morrissey has stepped in to save an anti-racism music festival from possible financial ruin.
The Rock Against Racism concert is taking place in London on Sunday and organisers said it was facing a £75,000 deficit after a main sponsor withdrew.
But the former Smiths singer has made a personal donation and rallied together his management, promoters and booking agency to help make up the shortfall. (more…)
Queen guitarist Brian May has revealed a sequel to the stage musical We Will Rock You will be bought to the stage.
“We are planning the sequel,” he said. “It is a real challenge.”
The 60-year-old said about two million people had seen We Will Rock You, written and directed by Ben Elton, since it opened in London in 2002. (more…)
Queen have announced they will release their first studio album for 13 years in September, called The Cosmos Rocks. The album will feature Paul Rodgers, who replaced the late Freddie Mercury as front man in the band.
