International Student Ethnographic Film Festival

Organised by the Goldsmiths Anthropology society, the inaugural International Student Ethnographic Film Festival (ISEFF) aims to promote and question the use of ethnographic film in contemporary society. Each evening a seminar and a selection of student films will be presented for discussion.

While highlighting the importance of discussion and critique of this practise, value will also be placed upon the necessity of exposing ethnographic films to new audiences. With a wide range of subject content, these evenings offer an environment for debate for both students and non-students of all disciplines and perspectives. ISEFF encourage dialogue that expands the use and understanding of ethnographic film, allowing interdisciplinary perspectives and consideration beyond an institutional framework.
