Many years ago I needed a job and when I received my job offer I had a dollar to my name. I was assured that they would train me either in Arizona or Texas with all expenses paid. My inner voice told me that I would be trained in Texas. I was prepared when I received the call to go to Dallas. A friend was questioning me as to why I would go to Dallas on a dollar. I replied that either you had faith or none at all and that I had gotten a great job. I would trust that my angels would find a way. One step at a time. When I arrived in Dallas, I quickly looked at the city map and discovered that I had to find transportation as I was booked at a hotel thirty miles away from the airport. It was raining and I spotted a cab. The cab just kept going and the next person stopped. He was driving a limousine! The driver started to pick up my bag when I stopped him with the truth. He looked into my eyes and put my bag into the trunk, then opened the door for me. I asked for his card and assured him that my company would pay him on Friday. We talked about spiritual things; including angels of course. We also talked about his family who lived in the South Pacific. The next morning, I met with the person from the company and we started on our trip for my sales training. One night, he asked me for a dollar to add to the tip. I said “No problem.” and handed him my last dollar. Sometime during the week he discovered that I didn't have any money. He asked me how I had gotten there with no money. I said, “I will tell you at the end of the week if you really want to know. On Friday we had to go to Dallas and he assured me that he had never gotten there before five p.m. I told him not to worry and silently envisioned angels around his car. Suddenly he was cut off by a large van and his red sports car went flying down the ramp at seventy five miles an hour and then he eased back to the freeway. Neither of us could speak for at least ten minutes. When we both could breathe normally he asked me to tell him how I got to Dallas on a dollar. I finished as he was pulling into our corporate office at five o'clock p.m.
I called my new friend to tell him that the company would be sending a check, he replied, “I wasn't worried at all.” Then I gave the card to the president and he looked down and said, “A limousine?!” I said yes.
As he mumbled under his breath he handed me my check for the week and gave me my first assignment, I thanked him and was driven to the airport to catch my plane. I silently thanked God and my angels and asked for a safe flight to Arizona.
