1stAngel Chooses Kassandra by Natalie Holland

The inspiration for Kassandra came to me when I was looking through my photo albums and came across some photos of myself with very long hair. Nowadays I wear my hair short and punky.

I painted Kassandra on February 16, 2011. I used Windsor & Newton Galeria acrylic paints on Canvasette Paper Canvas. I didn’t want to leave little to the imagination so I painted Kassandra looking sexy without revealing too much….meaning less is more. I used to paint Florals until I discovered that the human body is beautiful, very challenging, and lots of fun to paint.

Being an artist is a great adventure. I love to paint and experiment in different mediums because each offers a unique quality. I’m a self-taught artist, so I learned to paint my own way. Self-expression is very important to me regardless of medium. I often break rules and don’t confine myself in any type or technique. One of my favorite quotes is by Wassily Kandinsky ~ ‘There is no must in Art because Art is free.’
